Tasty Veggies and Fruits
If you have trouble getting your kids to eat their veggies and fruits, here are two recipes for you. Each one is packed with healthy ingredients and they are easy to make.
Quick and Tasty Itallian Veggies
3 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1 bag frozen Italian style vegetables, defrosted
1 tbs basil
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tbs oregano
Mix ingredients in a microwavable bowl and microwave for 5 minutes. Serves 5.
Baked Candied Apples
These healthy apples are a great healthy dessert.
1 cup brown sugar
5 apples, cored
1 small tub fat free whipped topping
Place apples on a greased cookie sheet with hole facing upward. Spread the brown sugar on top of each apple, making sure to get sugar into each hole. Bake the apples at 300 degrees for 30 minuets or until soft. Let them cool for ten minutes and top with whipped cream. Serves 5.
