Brocoli and Onion Soup
Cheesy Broccoli and Onion Soup
As the days become cooler, a nice, warm soup is always a comfort after a long day. This Cheesy Broccoli and Onion Soup is easy to make, takes very little ingredients, and can be prepared in a crockpot.
Cheesy Broccoli and Onion Soup
Two bags frozen broccoli
1 yellow onion
1 teaspoon Garlic powder
1 teaspoon basil
1 cup of milk
1 lb. Velveeta Cheese
5 cups water
Salt and pepper to taste
Put all of the ingredients into a crockpot. Set it to low heat and leave it until thirty minutes before dinner.
Or, if you don’t have a crockpot, put all of the ingredients into a pot on low heat. Add the water and cook until the broccoli is tender.
Then, right before you serve the soup, mash it with a potato masher or put it in a blender until it is creamy.
Serves 6. Cost: $8.
